Many people like to go to Red Eagle Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Red Eagle Lake is right by the Red Eagle Trail; Kakitos Mountain is lovely and can be spotted from here. Hiking along the Triple Divide Trail is magnificent fun, and Rising Sun Campground is a great local campground. The yearly rain here at Red Eagle Lake is about average; most of the snow falls throughout December; the driest month of the year is April.

| | this site. If you come at the right time of year, Flathead River - Middle Fork offers some good whitewater, and if you're here, you could stop at Hudson Bay Creek. And if that's not enough there's a lot more cool things to do in the Lewis Range. Red Eagle Lake is a brilliant site to visit for more than one day, Saint Mary Campground is a brilliant site to camp nearby, and do pay a visit to Glacier National Park while you're here at Red Eagle Lake. the long summer days, highs typically are in the 70's at Red Eagle Lake, and the overnight is a little colder of course, typically in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the
10's to Red Eagle Lake.
This lake is located in the wonderful Lewis Range. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more cool things to do here in the Lewis Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Bear Creek; the Saint Mary Lake Trail offers hiking at its best.
