Ravin Lake is located in the Absaroka Range. Yeah, come up here to the Absaroka Range for a perfect time. On a beautiful day you obtain a view of Chalice Peak from Ravin Lake, and on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Thunderer Cutoff Trail. Be careful coming to the Absaroka Range, you might not ever want to go back home       again. Woodbine Campground is a great local campground. Throughout the days of summer here at Ravin Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Ravin Lake. Not much precipitation falls here at Ravin Lake; May is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is February. That right there is a heap already,                  but it carries on; Ravin Lake has it all. Ravin Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Hells Canyon Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and there are other places here than Ravin Lake, for example Dreary Lake. Going for a hike along the Lodgepole Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Big Timber is a delightful place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
