Rainbow Point Campground is a great campground nearby; Rathbone Lake is not the only place nearby, Johnson Lake is a nearby lake. A pleasant location for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Rathbone Lake is Gallatin River, and hey, East Fork Tepee Creek is a glorious local stream. This lake is so wonderful. Lake without first going for a hike along the Skyline Trail. An average amount of precipitation falls at Rathbone Lake; most of the snow falls during January, and the driest of the months is October.
