What a nice lake Rat Lake is. Any time is a brilliant time at Rat Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. One of the dominant characteristics of the surroundings of Rat Lake is Avalanche Spire Rock, and if you need a site to stay Bucks T4 Lodge is a magnificent choice. | | rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Rat Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Moose Flat Campground is a nice spot for that; the Red Rock Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close by. Moonlight Basin is a very popular ski area in the vicinity, and nearby you stumble on the Pole Gulch Trail which is a nice hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than | |

Rat Lake, for example Lake of the Pines, and the great folks of Bozeman like to hang out nearby. Dry warm beds await you at Big Sky Resort. All through the summer at Rat Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's while nighttime
lows are generally in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Rat Lake. Lakes? Sure, Pioneer Lakes is in the vicinity, and why not head up to Big Sky and
strap some skis to your feet. Rat Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Castle Rock Inn is a perfect local campground; if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Divide Trail.

Bridger Bowl
 | 27 miles away 12 PHOTOS Bridger Bowl offers a very diverse ski experience with the following ratings: 20% beginner, 30% intermediate, 20% advance and 30% extreme. Incredible expert only skiing is available off Bridger's new Schlasman's Chairlift and on the renowned ''Ridge.'' Skiers and snowboarders who wish to ride the new lift or access this terrain, collectively known as Ridge Terrain, must have an avalanche transceiver (457 kHz). It is strongly recommended to have a partner, a shovel and expert skiing abilities in addition to knowledge of the terrain before venturing into the area which will have no hazard markings, no grooming and no marked trails. Ridge Terrain contains numerous steep chutes, rock cliffs, and snowfields which may end in unmarked cliffs.
