Camping at Howard Lake Campground is always a delightful experience, and Ramsey Lake is right by the Goat Peak Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Cabinet Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Kootenai River offers some good whitewater, and a wonderful place to camp here at Ramsey       Lake is Lake Creek Campground. You absolutely have to love Ramsey Lake. Hiking along the Engle Peak Trail is delightful fun, and if you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Libby is a wonderful choice. Ramsey Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Vermilion River, and Libby Lakes                  is a fine lake nearby. Through the warm months at Ramsey Lake highs are usually in the 80's while night lows are typically in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's; overnight lows at Ramsey Lake through the wintertime usually plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Cabinet Mountains will keep you coming back time and again. Lakes? Sure, Isabella Lake is close at hand; wonderful skiing awaits you at Turner Mountain.
