Just can't get enough of the Absaroka Range. Skiing at Red Lodge Mountain is one of those things you just should do, and the summit of Pyramid Mountain can be observed from Ram Lake. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Ram Lake is a magnificent spot to camp, Pine Grove Campground is a magnificent spot, and there are great locations to explore along the Crazy Lakes Trail. During the days of       summer highs here at Ram Lake reach the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's while Ram Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range. Ram Lake is mostly a quite dehydrated place; most of the rain falls through May; February on the other hand is the driest. If you need a spot to stay Big Moose Resort is a good choice, and going for                  a hike on the Lake Reno Trail is always a pleasant adventure. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do close to Ram Lake. Near Ram Lake you find the Crazy Mountain Trail which is a splendid hiking trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Stillwater River offers some fine whitewater. And that's not all you can do here in the Absaroka Range. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rosebud Creek - West; a splendid nearby hotel is Old Crow Agency.
