This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Grizzly Lodge, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Thunderer Cutoff Trail. For the duration of the months of summer at Rainbow Lakes highs are commonly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. All through the winter the highs are generally in the       30's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Rainbow Lakes drop into the 10's. Going for a hike along the Lodgepole Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and one of the overriding traits of the surroundings of Rainbow Lakes is Lake Mountain. Man, is there lots of amusing stuff to do in the vicinity of Rainbow Lakes. Do set aside some time for Lake Plateau since you're here at Rainbow Lakes; a fine spot to camp                  here at Rainbow Lakes is Hicks Park Campground. So much fun stuff in the Absaroka Range, just inspiring. After a long day outdoors Silvergate Cabins is a good site to spend a night or two. While you're here at Rainbow Lakes, you could also check out delightful Burnt Gulch Lake, and paddling on Boulder River is so much fun. At Rainbow Lakes you don’t see much rain; the month with most of the rain is May while February is usually the driest month. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Absaroka Range.
