A visit to Rainbow Lake is always a good idea. Stay the night at Happy's Inn and Resort; Rodeway Inn Libby is a good place to get some rest. Near Rainbow Lake you locate the Divide Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and Crystal Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. That right there is a heap already, but it continues; Rainbow Lake has it all.

| | Slimmer Creek Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. For the period of the months of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Rainbow Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Rainbow Lake fall into the 10's.
