    Go to Rainbow Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. At Rainbow Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is June while February is frequently the driest month. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Woods Lake, and the skiing at Big Mountain is delightful. You'll meet a lot of people from Kalispell here, and there are some glorious whitewater spots on Flathead River - Middle Fork.
What a spot
 
   this is for outdoors folks. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Blacktail Mountain. A trip to nearby Lazy Bay is very relaxing, and you can go for a hike on the Whitefish Divide-Smokey Range National Recreation Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Les Mason Campground is a magnificent campground nearby, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Rainbow Lake; Micho Trail is a good local trail.
Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the neighborhood of
 
               Rainbow Lake. Stay the night at Whitefish RV Park; get yourself into a kayak and hit Stillwater River. This lake is so wonderful. Kristianna Mountain Homes is a perfect spot to get some rest; enjoy a round of golf at Whitefish Lake Golf Club. Good hiking is available along the Danny on Memorial National Recreation Trail; why not have a look at close by Lazy Creek while you're here at Rainbow Lake.
Lakes are great; Murray Lake is a lake that's close to Rainbow Lake; dry warm beds await you at Grouse Mountain Lodge. Summertime highs at Rainbow Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Rainbow Lake are in the 10's.
