After a long day outdoors Jorgenson Inn and Suite is a good location to spend a night or two, and Great Divide has good slopes and a friendly staff. On a splendid day at Quartz Lake you can take a hike along the Sweeney Creek Ecology Trail, and not far from Quartz Lake you'll find Park Lake which is a gorgeous lake. Summer at Quartz Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's.       All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Quartz Lake plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Quartz Lake you can take a hike along the Mount Helena National Recreation Trail; camping at Park Lake Campground is always a fine experience. Quartz Lake is pretty dehydrated typically; during the month of May                  you get the most rain around here; the driest month is February. There are other places here than Quartz Lake, for example Forest Lake, and some of the water nearby flows, like North Fork Quartz Creek. Camping is available at Tenmile Campground, and Lava Mountain is a peak you can see from Quartz Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Boulder River is a great whitewater spot close to Quartz Lake, and if you're popping by from Helena, you won't be the only one.
