Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Blackfoot River, and folks from Missoula love to come here. Nearby lakes? Sure, Otis Lake is near Pyramid Lake, and a good place to camp here at Pyramid Lake is Salmon Lake Campground. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Morrell Falls National       Recreation Trail is always a glorious adventure, and Pyramid Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Seeley Lake Resort and RV Park is a brilliant local campground. Throughout the warm days of summer here at Pyramid Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's, and the night is quite chillier of course, generally in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; night lows at Pyramid Lake during the winter regularly                  drop into the 10's. And if you're still looking for more outdoors amusing stuff just keep reading. There is a glorious hiking trail in close proximity to Pyramid Lake called the Blackfoot Divide Trail, and since you're here, you might as well stop by Pyramid Pass. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Lewis Range. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Flathead River - South Fork, and if the weather is beautiful, you get a great view of Devine Peak from Pyramid Lake. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Pyramid Lake; throughout January this area sees the most snow while July is usually the driest month. But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Lewis Range.
