On a delightful day you get a vista of Crowfeet Mountain from Ptarmigan Lake, obviously you could also have a look at Grinnell Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Ptarmigan Lake is a good site of common precipitation; most of the snow falls all through December, and April is when it's the driest. This lake is located in the wonderful Lewis Range.
