This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Rock Creek for all you adrenaline people, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Hamilton Inn is a glorious choice. On a magnificent       day at Potato Lakes you can take a hike along the Hi Line Trail; what would winter be without some skiing at Discovery Ski. During the summer at Potato Lakes temperatures are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Potato Lakes. A great spot to go to in the neighborhood of Potato Lakes is Dearborn Gulch, and swing by Middle Fork Rock Creek it's                  a magnificent site to pop by. There is a delightful hiking trail next to Potato Lakes called the Combination Trail Number 3, and a lovely lake like Milo Lake is a nice spot to visit. It is very waterless here at Potato Lakes regularly; May is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
