At Potato Lakes you don’t see much rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. Throughout the months of summer highs here at Potato Lakes reach the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while Potato Lakes overnight low temperatures throughout       the winter are in the 10's. Lakes are great; Kaiser Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Potato Lakes, and if you come at the right time of year, Rock Creek offers some fine whitewater. A tremendous place near Potato Lakes is Dearborn Gulch, and let's not forget Middle Fork Rock Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon while here. This lake is so wonderful. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Discovery Ski, and a good place to camp here at                  Potato Lakes is East Fork Campground. Going for a hike along the Hi Line Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. So much amusing stuff to do at Potato Lakes, so little time.
