This lake is so wonderful. Hunters Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and hiking along the Boulder Lakes Trail is nice fun. Porcupine Lake is frequently a reasonably dried up site; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while February is generally the driest month. Very great water scenery is available       at Thornton Lake Dam close to Porcupine Lake; you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Long Canyon Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Camping at Racetrack Campground is always a brilliant experience, and if you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Deer Lodge is a pleasant choice. All through the summertime months highs here at Porcupine Lake reach the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days                  of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Porcupine Lake.
