There are other places here than Polaris Lake, for example Scott Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Rhubarb Patch Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Polaris Lake with overnight lows in the 30's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's while Polaris Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at       Polaris Lake. If you need a location to stay Comfort Inn Dillon is a great choice. There's delightful hiking along the Blue Creek Trail, and Grasshopper Campground is a fine local campground. This lake is so wonderful. The vista of Alturas Number One Mountain from Polaris Lake is picturesque; Mono Creek Campground is a great campground nearby. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not go to Sawtooth Lake right next door to Polaris Lake, and great hiking is available                  along the Driveway Trail. Polaris Lake gets very little rain; most of the rain falls through June; February is when it's the driest.
