     Camping at Bowman Lake Campground is always a great experience, and a lovely lake like Cameron Lake is a fine site to stop by. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Lewis Range. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not visit Numa Lake next to Pocket Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Flathead River - Middle Fork. So many cool things in the Lewis Range, just remarkable. Camping is available  
   at Logging Creek Campground, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Quartz Lake Trail.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Lewis Range. High temperatures at Pocket Lake during the summer months are in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Pocket Lake. It is very dried up here at Pocket Lake usually; during the month
 
               of December you get the most snow around here, and the driest of the months is April.
Be careful coming to Pocket Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. Some of the water nearby flows, like Jefferson Creek, and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Bowman Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Boulder Glacier is an exciting site to go to while at Pocket Lake, and Glacier National Park is a fine site nearby. Boulder Peak is trouble-free to spot from Pocket Lake, and Boulder Pass is another great site to check out nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Boulder Pass Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.

Fabulously beautiful area, dense grizzly population and zero people.  Not too hard to get to crossing Flattop on bits of an obsolete trail from Fifty Mountain, then skirt along the open hills sides near Trapper Peak.  One scary steep hardpan ravine must be crossed where a slip would send you plunging 1000 feet down to Lake Nahsukin.  An axe would be helpful, otherwise just run real fast so your momentum will carry you to good footing on the far side....
