High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Placid Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. The Morrell Falls National Recreation Trail is a brilliant hiking trail near Placid Lake, and if you've had enough of Placid Lake, Tuppers Lake is close by. Paddling on Blackfoot River is so much fun, and there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Pyramid Pass Trail. So many amusing things to do here at Placid Lake, too magnificent to be true. The amount of rainfall that falls at Placid Lake is close to the national average; through January this area sees the most snow; July is when it's the driest.
