Placid Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Going for a hike on the Pyramid Pass Trail is always a pleasant adventure; the slopes of Marshall Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. The warmest time of the year at Placid Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's with overnight lows in the 40's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows through the winter for Placid Lake tend to be in the 10's. Go for a hike on the Blackfoot

Near Placid Lake you discover the Morrell Falls National Recreation Trail which is a great hiking trail, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Boles Creek. Placid Lake gets a typical amount of annual rain; the wettest month of the year is frequently January, that's the one that snows the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. | |
