What a place this is for outdoors folks. There are other sites here than Pipit Lake, for example Lake Diaphanous; if you came for an overnight stay Hicks Park Campground is a wonderful place to camp. Why not camp at Hells Canyon Campground since you're here at Pipit Lake, and Pipit Lake is right by the Lodgepole Trail. The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. This       lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Silvergate Cabins is a great site to spend a night or two, and Lake Plateau is a good place to check out. If you need a spot to stay Grizzly Lodge is a wonderful choice, and do take a hike on the Thunderer Cutoff Trail. For the period of the summertime months here at Pipit Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the                  period of the winter highs are usually in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Pipit Lake. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Absaroka Range. A perfect sight of charming Lake Mountain is available from Pipit Lake, and float down the rapids of Boulder River in a kayak. Pipit Lake gets very little rain; throughout May this area sees the most rain; the driest month is February. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Absaroka Range.
