Camping is available at Hicks Park Campground, and from Pipit Lake you acquire a wonderful panorama of Lake Mountain. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. While you're here at Pipit Lake it's a magnificent idea to stop at Lake Plateau, and the Thunderer Cutoff Trail offers hiking at its best. Be careful coming to the Absaroka       Range, you might not ever want to go back home again. Owl Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and Pipit Lake is right by the Republic Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Pipit Lake, you could also have a look at close by Fish Lake, and there's great hiking along the Lodgepole Trail. That right there is a lot of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Absaroka Range has it all. A magnificent close by hotel is Super 8 Big Timber.                  Pipit Lake really is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. A good place to camp here at Pipit Lake is Hells Canyon Campground, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boulder River. For the duration of the summer months at Pipit Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's.
