Go to Lake of the Pines if you want to go to a nice lake. Just can't get enough of Lake of the Pines. Going for a hike on the Pole Gulch Trail is always a delightful adventure, and Rainbow Ranch Lodge is a fine place to get some rest. For the period of the months of summer highs here at Lake of the Pines reach the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 20's, and after the sun is down through

Not much rainfall falls here at Lake of the Pines; May is the wettest month with most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. Nearby lakes? Sure, Rat Lake is next to Lake of the Pines. and the great folks of Bozeman like to hang out nearby. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Big Sky while you're here; there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Divide Trail. There's so much to do
here at Lake of the Pines that you need to camp here for a while, Elkhorn is a wonderful location for that, and you're perhaps hooked on lakes, Pioneer Lakes is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel
is Big Sky Resort, and a pleasant site close by is Orchid Gulch. Near Lake of the Pines you locate the Red Rock Trail which is a great hiking trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Gallatin River offers some delightful whitewater.

Incredible expert only skiing is available off Bridger's new Schlasman's Chairlift and on the renowned ''Ridge.''
