Pine Lake gets very little precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. All through the warm days of summer here at Pine Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Pine Lake dip into the 10's.       This lake is so wonderful. Pine Lake is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, Bear Canyon RV Park is a perfect site to camp nearby; float down the rapids of Yellowstone River in a kayak. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Going for a hike along the Pole Gulch Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. If the weather is brilliant here at Pine Lake, you can go for a hike along the Red Rock Trail, and if you need a place                  to stay Comfort Inn Bozeman is a delightful choice. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Pine Lake has to offer, you can camp at Palace Butte Campground, and after a long day outdoors Microtel Inn and Suites Bozeman is a good place to spend a night or two.
