Swan River is a brilliant whitewater spot in close proximity to Picnic Lakes, and if the weather is beautiful, you obtain a great panorama of Mount Aeneas from Picnic Lakes. A great close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Glacier Park/Columbia Falls, and Picnic Lakes is great enough to spend more than a day at, Fire Island Campground is a great local campground. Just can't get enough of the Lewis Range.       Take a hike on the Tongue Mountain Trail; in case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Flathead River - Middle Fork. This lake is so wonderful. All our national parks are brilliant spots to have a look at, and Glacier National Park is no exception, and if you need a place to stay Bridge Street Cottages is a magnificent choice. And that's not everything you can do here in the Lewis Range. You could also check                  out Black Lake if you're here at Picnic Lakes; it's nearby, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Noisy Creek Notch Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Lewis Range. Picnic Lakes is right by the Graves Creek Trail, and you should positively dedicate some time to Jewel Basin if you're here at Picnic Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Martha Lake, and if you came to camp Lid Creek Campground is a magnificent site to do that. Picnic Lakes is a location with many visitors from Kalispell. The warmest time of the year at Picnic Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Picnic Lakes drop into the 10's.
