If you like lakes and you're in this part of Montana you can check out Picket Lake. While you're here at Picket Lake, you could also stop by pretty Shrew Lake; Lake Creek Campground is a great local campground. So many entertaining things to do at Picket Lake, so little time. Go for a hike on the Crazy Mountain Trail; a great sight of beautiful Crazy Mountain is available. Picket Lake is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range.

| | like the Absaroka Range. Why not camp at Crazy Creek Campground since you're here at Picket Lake, and what would winter be without some skiing at Red Lodge Mountain. Man, is there plenty of fun things to do in the Absaroka Range. There are some nice whitewater spots on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. Big Butte Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to, and there's nice hiking along the Copeland Lake Trail.

Lake without first going for a hike along the Lake Reno Trail, and there's whitewater on Clarks Fork Yellowstone for all you adrenaline people. Picket Lake gets a common amount of annual rain; June is when you get the most rain here,
and October meanwhile is the driest month. During the warmest time of the year highs here at Picket Lake get into the 70's with nighttime lows in the 30's. Throughout the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Picket Lake.
