Hiking is a popular thing to do around Picket Lake; Lake Reno Trail is a delightful local trail, and you can run the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone. For the period of the warmest time of the year here at Picket Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 70's while night lows are ordinarily in the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Picket Lake. Good hiking is available                  along the Crazy Mountain Trail, and there's whitewater on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River for all you adrenaline kick people. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Picket Lake. The Copeland Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. There's so much to do here at Picket Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Creek Campground is a great location for that.
