Indian Knife Lake is a lake close at hand; if you come at the right time of year, Clarks Fork Yellowstone River offers some wonderful whitewater. Life's       too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the vicinity of Picket Lake. Good hiking is available along the Crazy Mountain Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Clarks Fork Yellowstone. This spot, the Absaroka Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. There's wonderful hiking along the Lake Reno Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are great; Triangle Lake is a lake that's near Picket Lake, and hiking is a                  popular thing to do around Picket Lake; Copeland Lake Trail is a perfect local trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range. For the duration of the long summer days at Picket Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 30's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Picket Lake are in the 0's. Camping is available at Crazy Creek Campground; the panorama of Crazy Mountain is stunning.
