While you're here at Phantom Lake you can take a hike along the Copeland Lake Trail, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Red Lodge Mountain. Going for a hike along the Lake Reno Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and not far from Phantom Lake you'll discover Little Arch Lake which is a lovely lake. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater       paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Rosebud Creek - East, and if you came for an overnight stay Emerald Lake Campground is a magnificent spot to camp. From a rainfall point of view Phantom Lake is a quite typical place; the month with most of the rain is June, and October on the other hand is the driest. All year is a nice time in the Absaroka Range if you fancy the outdoors. Hiking along the Crazy Mountain Trail is wonderful                  fun. If you come at the right time of year, Rosebud Creek - West offers some good whitewater. Lakes? Sure, Froze-to-Death Lake is in close proximity. Phantom Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. For the period of the warmest time of the year here at Phantom Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 70's while nighttime lows are generally in the 30's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Phantom Lake descend into the 0's. So much cool stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range, too delightful to be true.
