This lake is one of the great places here in the Bitterroot Range. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Duffy Lake Dam, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Duffy Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Having a glorious time in the Bitterroot Range is painless. At Peterson Lake you can observe Pyramid Buttes; after a long day outdoors Lolo-Days       Inn Missoula South/Blue Mountain is a wonderful site to spend a night or two. Any time is a magnificent time at Peterson Lake if you adore the outdoors. There's so much to do here at Peterson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Charles Waters Memorial Campground is a good place for that, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Missoula/Brooks Street. Stay the night at Fort Fizzle Campground; on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the                  Carlton Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There is a fine hiking trail in the neighborhood of Peterson Lake called the Mill Creek Trail; in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kootenai Creek. The warmest time of the year at Peterson Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Peterson Lake fall into the 10's. Peterson Lake is generally a relatively dry site; during May this area sees the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Bitterroot Range has to offer.
