Why not camp at Rv Timbers Park while you're here at Peterson Lake; don't leave Peterson Lake without first going for a hike along the Alpine Trail. Around Peterson Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; June is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Glacier Park Super 8 Motel is                  a splendid choice, and Abbot Lake is a perfect lake nearby. At Peterson Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. All through the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Peterson Lake. All the outdoors fun stuff in close proximity to Peterson Lake will keep you coming back time and again. Enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Long Beach; a glorious spot for whitewater paddling is Swan River. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Eagle Bend Golf Club is always a diversion, and in case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Flathead River - Middle Fork.
