There's great hiking along the Thunderer Cutoff Trail. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Big Timber, and you're in all probability into lakes, Sundown Lake is one of those close by. Around Pentad Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; during May this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least       moisture. At Pentad Lake throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Pentad Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Favonius Lake is in close proximity to Pentad Lake, and Pentad Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Hells Canyon Campground is a great local campground.                  Why not take a refreshing hike along the Buffalo Plateau Trail, and you can run the rapids of Boulder River. At Pentad Lake you can catch a sight of Pinnacle Mountain. There's so much to do here at Pentad Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hicks Park Campground is a delightful place for that. Pentad Lake is located in the Absaroka Range. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Absaroka Range.
