     Chessman Saddle Dam is worth visiting while you're here, and not far from Park Lake you'll hit upon Quartz Lake which is a beautiful lake. Go for a hike on the Mount Helena National Recreation Trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Great Divide is rather near. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Park Lake you'll in all probability meet some people from Helena, and one of the principal marks of the surroundings of Park Lake is Spruce Hills. Good hiking  
   is available along the Sweeney Creek Ecology Trail.
Man, is there plenty of fun stuff to do in the vicinity of Park Lake. Why not camp at Tenmile Campground if you're here at Park Lake. Lakes are pleasant; Forest Lake is a lake that's close to Park Lake. Holiday Inn Helena, Mt is a brilliant location to get some rest; if you come at the right time of year, Boulder River offers some delightful whitewater. Around Park Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall;
 
               the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture.
This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Park Lake; Bear Gulch Trail is a splendid local trail, and camping is available at Park Lake Campground. Frohner Basin is a good spot; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Helena Great Northern Hotel. For the period of the days of summer here at Park Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 40's. Through the winter highs are usually in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Park Lake.
