Piquett Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to, and you can hit the slopes at Lost Trail around here. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is gorgeous, you obtain a good vista of Slate Point from Painted Rocks Lake; if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Coal Ridge Trail. During the warm days of summer highs here at Painted Rocks Lake       reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Painted Rocks Lake temperatures fall to the 10's.
