The beauty of Painted Rocks Lake attracts many people from all around. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Bitterroot Range. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Painted Rocks Lake has to offer, you can camp at Little Boulder Bay Campground, and Slate Point is striking and can be observed from here. Not much rain falls here at Painted Rocks Lake; during May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month

These mountains rock, just check out all the exciting things to do in the Bitterroot Range. Get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Salmon River, and close by you discover the Lookout Mountain Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. There are pleasant places to discover along the Coal Ridge Trail, and why not a little side trip to Black Creek. This lake is one of the great places here in the Bitterroot Range.

There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Painted Rocks Lake. Going for a hike on the Old Nez Perce Indian Trail is always a fine adventure. There's so much to do here at Painted Rocks Lake that you need to camp here for a
while, Slate Creek Campground is a brilliant spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. West Fork Dam is not far at all from Painted Rocks Lake; nearby Fourth of July Gulch is a fine location to go. Summer at Painted Rocks Lake comes
with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Painted Rocks Lake.
Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Hamilton Inn, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Lost Trail.
