Why not stop by Painted Rocks Lake if you're passing through these parts. Not much precipitation falls here at Painted Rocks Lake; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month is July. Take a hike on the Lookout Mountain Trail; why not camp at Slate Creek Campground since you're here at Painted Rocks Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Black Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth stopping at, and camping is available at Little Boulder Bay Campground. 10's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Bitterroot Range. The snow is great at Lost Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Slate Lake. This lake is so wonderful. This is a pleasant
area for folks who like lakes. Piquett Lake is a lake in close proximity, and you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Old Nez Perce Indian Trail. Why not visit West Fork Dam if you're here, and the vista of charming Slate
Point is great. The Bitterroot Range scenery is always beautiful. Having a pleasant time at Painted Rocks Lake is uncomplicated. After a long day outdoors Best Western Hamilton Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two; while you're here you can take a hike along the Coal Ridge Trail.
