Montana has many beautiful lakes and Old Cooper Reservoir is one of them. Not much rainfall falls here at Old Cooper Reservoir; May is when you get the most rain here while February is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Blackmore Campground is a nice place to do that; a splendid nearby hotel is Microtel Inn and Suites Bozeman. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Bozeman is a good place to spend a night or two. Whitewater

| | paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Yellowstone River; Crystal Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. There's so much to do here at Old Cooper Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Bear Canyon RV Park is a fine site for that, and the Bangtail Trail offers hiking at its best. While you're here at Old Cooper Reservoir, you could also check out pretty Bear Lakes, and everyone close by loves skiing at Bridger Bowl. | |

So much fun stuff in the neighborhood of Old Cooper Reservoir, just remarkable. A great sight of stunning Bald Knob is available from Old Cooper Reservoir, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Old Cooper Reservoir; Pole Gulch
Trail is a great local trail. Throughout the long summer days, highs frequently are in the 80's at Old Cooper Reservoir. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Old Cooper Reservoir tend to be in the 10's.

 | 12 miles away 12 PHOTOS Bridger Bowl offers a very diverse ski experience with the following ratings: 20% beginner, 30% intermediate, 20% advance and 30% extreme. Incredible expert only skiing is available off Bridger's new Schlasman's Chairlift and on the renowned ''Ridge.'' Skiers and snowboarders who wish to ride the new lift or access this terrain, collectively known as Ridge Terrain, must have an avalanche transceiver (457 kHz). It is strongly recommended to have a partner, a shovel and expert skiing abilities in addition to knowledge of the terrain before venturing into the area which will have no hazard markings, no grooming and no marked trails. Ridge Terrain contains numerous steep chutes, rock cliffs, and snowfields which may end in unmarked cliffs. Clearly, Bridger Bowl's Ridge Terrain provides some of the most challenging skiing found within any ski area boundary!... |
