Good hiking is available along the Pilot Creek Trail, and there are other places here than Nugget Lake, for example Beckwourth Lake. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff truly is bountiful here in the Absaroka Range. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not go to Eedica Lake in close proximity to Nugget Lake. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Absaroka Range. Dry warm beds await       you at Super 8 Big Timber, and Nugget Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Woodbine Campground is a good local campground. At Nugget Lake during the days of summer highs are in the 70's; the night is a tad chillier of course, typically in the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Nugget Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. Hiking is a popular thing                  to do around Nugget Lake; Crazy Lakes Trail is a pleasant local trail, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stillwater River. Go for a hike on the Republic Trail; Big Mountain can be seen from Nugget Lake. Around Nugget Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; most of the rain falls during May while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
