A great location for whitewater paddling right next door to North Totem Lake is Big Sand Creek, and camping is available at Blodgett Canyon Campground. If the weather is great here at North Totem Lake, you can go for a hike along the Ward Mountain Trail, and get your pulse rate up on the brilliant whitewater of White Sand Creek. Be careful coming to the Bitterroot Range, you might not ever wanna go back home again.
