The beauty of North Lakes is reason enough to stop by. This lake is one of the great places here in the Lewis Range. You just must like North Lakes. There's splendid hiking along the North Boundary Trail, and a short trip to Thunderbird Falls is always worthwhile. North Lakes lays in the shadow of the Livingston Range; here at North Lakes you can make out Chapman Peak.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Lewis Range. There's so much to do here at North Lakes

| | that you need to camp here for a while, Bowman Lake Campground is a great place for that; if you're here, you could also go to scenic Lake Nooney. This lake is so wonderful. A great place near North Lakes is Brown Pass. North Lakes is a location that is pretty dried up mostly; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow; the driest month is April.

not take a refreshing hike along the Bowman Lake Trail. For the period of the days of summer at North Lakes highs are generally in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime
are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at North Lakes. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Lewis Range. Middle Fork River Inn is a good site to get some rest, and the Boulder Pass Trail offers
hiking at its best.
If you came to camp Logging Creek Campground is a perfect site to do that, and don't leave North Lakes without first checking out The Hawksbill.
