This lake is so wonderful. Not far from North Kootenai Lake, you'll stumble on Middle Fork Lakes which is a charming lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Brushy Fork. North Kootenai Lake is located in the Bitterroot Range. You'll need more than a day to look at everything North Kootenai Lake has to offer, you can camp at Charles Waters Memorial Campground;       there are some tremendous whitewater spots on White Sand Creek. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than North Kootenai Lake, for example South Kootenai Lake, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Sally Ridge Trail. North Kootenai Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; during the month of January you get the most snow around here, and the driest of the months is July. High temperatures at North Kootenai Lake during the                  warm months are in the 80's; the overnight is fairly colder of course, mostly in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at North Kootenai Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. At North Kootenai Lake you can catch a glimpse of Bass Peak, and if you need a location to stay Townhouse Inn of Hamilton is a pleasant choice.
