    A visit to North Fork Lake is always a good idea. If you get bored of North Fork Lake, you could also stop by nearby Grayling Lake, and camping is available at Elkhorn. Near North Fork Lake you hit upon the Divide Trail which is a great hiking trail, and camping at Castle Rock Inn is always a fine experience. North Fork Lake is a spot with many visitors from Bozeman, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Eldridge Trail.
The warmest time
 
   of the year brings highs in the 80's to North Fork Lake. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are generally in the 30's while North Fork Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the area next to North Fork Lake has to offer. Get dripping wet paddling on Gallatin River, and North Fork Lake is not the only location  
               close by, Grace Lake is a close by lake. Dry warm beds await you at Hidden Village, and the slopes of Big Sky are so inviting noone can resist.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Spanish Peaks Club is a delightful choice, and hey, Gotta ski right? Moonlight Basin is a pleasant place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Wapiti Ridge Trail is always a nice adventure, and of course South Fork Hell Roaring Creek is a delightful stream that is worth stopping at.
North Fork Lake is pretty waterless regularly; May is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is February.

There?s this really neat hike a few miles away from us in Big Sky. It starts out near a small pond called Moose Lake, follows a path up some dense forest for a couple of miles, then opens up into these huge rolling meadows surrounded by Cedar Mountain, Pioneer Mountain, and Lone Mountain with a great view of Sphinx Mountain in the distance....
