High temperatures at North Fork Lake all through the warm months are in the 80's, and the night is slightly cooler of course, typically in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at North Fork Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. You could also stop by Grayling Lake since you're here at North Fork Lake; it's close by,       and swing by South Fork Hell Roaring Creek it's a glorious spot to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Arrow Lake is near North Fork Lake. There's so much to do here at North Fork Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Castle Rock Inn is a wonderful site for that. Hiking is a popular thing to do around North Fork Lake; Wapiti Ridge Trail is a tremendous local trail; if you need a place to stay Spanish Peaks Club is a fine choice.                  Don't leave North Fork Lake without first going for a hike along the Eldridge Trail, and if you came to camp Elkhorn is a tremendous site to do that. Not much precipitation falls here at North Fork Lake; through the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Good hiking is available along the Divide Trail, and what would winter be without some skiing at Big Sky. This lake is so wonderful. At North Fork Lake you always meet someone from Bozeman; dry warm beds await you at Hidden Village. So much cool stuff in the vicinity of North Fork Lake, just striking. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Gallatin River; wonderful scenery and wonderful skiing is what you obtain at Moonlight Basin.   Hidden Village, Big Sky 5 miles away Hidden Village is off the beaten path, built on a 40 acre wooded hillside, with lots of open space and incredible views of the Spanish Peaks and/or Lone Mountain.
