Around Nilan Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while February is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. On a glorious day at Nilan Reservoir you can take a hike along the Steamboat Lookout Pass, and there are some brilliant whitewater       spots on Dearborn River. There is a good hiking trail near Nilan Reservoir called the Ford Willow Creek Trail, and Nilan East Dam is a lovely site, unquestionably worth stopping at. The skiing at Teton Pass is delightful. Do visit Smith Lake in the vicinity of Nilan Reservoir, it's a beautiful lake, and Nilan Reservoir is a brilliant site to visit for more than one day, Bean Lake Campground is a brilliant site to camp nearby. Throughout the warm days of summer                  here at Nilan Reservoir, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's, and the overnight is a tad chillier of course, mostly in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Nilan Reservoir. So many cool things to do here at Nilan Reservoir, too good to be true.
