Throughout the warm days of summer at Nilan Reservoir temperatures are frequently in the 70's while overnight lows are generally in the 40's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Nilan Reservoir dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Not far from Nilan Reservoir, you'll discover Smith Lake which is a scenic lake; camping at Bean       Lake Campground is always a great experience. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Teton Pass. There's fine hiking along the Smith Creek Trail, and Nilan East Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. Man, is there loads of cool things to do in the neighborhood of Nilan Reservoir. Dearborn River is a magnificent whitewater spot close to Nilan Reservoir, and Nilan Reservoir is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Wagons                  West Campground is a pleasant local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Ford Willow Creek Trail, and you can run the rapids of Falls Creek. Lakes are perfect; Beale Lake is a lake that's near Nilan Reservoir, and the Steamboat Lookout Pass offers hiking at its best.
