This site, the Absaroka Range, has so much outdoors fun stuff. A nice close by hotel is Super 8 Big Timber; hiking along the Republic Trail is tremendous fun. Not much precipitation falls here at Nightmare Lake; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest       of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Nightmare Lake, for example Woodbine Lake, and why not camp at Emerald Lake Campground since you're here at Nightmare Lake. During the long summer days, highs usually are in the 80's at Nightmare Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are usually in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Nightmare Lake are in the 10's.                  Get wet paddling on Stillwater River, and a great site to camp here at Nightmare Lake is Woodbine Campground. Nightmare Lake is located in the Absaroka Range. If you like the outdoors, you'll love Nightmare Lake.
