A good place near Nelson Reservoir is Blackman Gulch; you'll locate a pretty lake called Smith Reservoir. This       lake is so wonderful. There is a wonderful hiking trail close to Nelson Reservoir called the Billy Johns Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Big Hole River is so much fun, and Super 8 Whitehall is a nice place to get some rest.
