This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Lulu Pass is a great place to explore nearby, and whitewater paddling is great on Stillwater River. Mutt Lake is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range. Summertime at Mutt Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 30's. All through the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's; after the sun is down throughout the       winter temperatures at Mutt Lake dip into the 0's. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel Big Timber is a brilliant location to spend a night or two, and why not camp at Soda Butte Campground since you're here at Mutt Lake. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. While you're here at Mutt Lake you can take a hike along the Pilot Creek Trail; a pleasant panorama of stunning Fisher Mountain is available. Going for a hike along the                  Republic Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and while you're here, you could also explore stunning Panhandle Lake. Mutt Lake gets very little rain; through May this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. That right there is a lot of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Absaroka Range has it all. If the weather is good here at Mutt Lake, you can go for a hike along the North Crandall Trail; do stop at Jeff Lake, it's a beautiful lake. Be careful coming to the Absaroka Range, you might not ever wanna go home again.
