You can run the rapids of Stillwater River in close proximity to Murray Lake. There's so much to do here at Murray Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Whitefish RV Park is a great site for that. Here at Murray Lake you'll almost certainly meet some folks from Kalispell, and after a long day outdoors Kristianna Mountain Homes is a glorious site to spend a night or two. This       lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Grouse Mountain Lodge, and not far from Murray Lake you'll find Boyle Lake which is a delightful lake. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Blacktail Mountain is in close proximity to Murray Lake. At Murray Lake during the days of summer highs are in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and throughout                  the dark hours in the winter at Murray Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. Murray Lake is pretty arid commonly; June is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Flathead River - Middle Fork is a perfect whitewater spot next to Murray Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Murray Lake has to offer, you can camp at Les Mason Campground. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Whitefish Divide-Smokey Range National Recreation Trail, and if you're a golfer then a great close by course is Whitefish Lake Golf Club. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool things the area near Murray Lake has to offer. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Mountain Meadow Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Rainbow Lake.
