Go to Mud Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. There's some flowing water nearby, Dick Creek is a stream you can stop at while here, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Mud Lake; Monture Haun Trail is a tremendous local trail. And that's not all there is to do here in the Lewis Range. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Blackfoot River, and you can go for a hike on the Dunham Lodgepole Trail. | | so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Monture Creek Campground is a good spot for that, and a gorgeous lake like Rice Lake is a magnificent place to take a look at.
This lake is so wonderful. Monture Hill can be observed from Mud Lake. Just can't get enough of the Lewis Range. Mud Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Russell Gates Memorial Campground is a wonderful local campground, and nice hiking is available | |

along the Center Ridge Trail. Around Mud Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
Shoup Lake Dam is a lovely location near Mud Lake; you'll
stumble on a lovely lake called James Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Blackfoot River - North Fork is so much fun, and if you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Deer Lodge is a good choice. Mud Lake is a beautiful lake
in the Lewis Range.
All through the summer months at Mud Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mud Lake.
