You'll find a beautiful lake called Heather Lake near       Mud Lake, and if you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Bozeman is a good choice. Paddling on Mulherin Creek is so much fun; Mud Lake is right by the Red Rock Trail. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Bridger Bowl, and lakes are such peaceful sites, why not explore Emerald Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Mud Lake, you could take a look at North Fork Eightmile Creek, and the Pole Gulch Trail offers hiking at its best.                  Mud Lake gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February.
