A delightful site for whitewater paddling close to Mud Lake is Stillwater River, and hiking along the Pilot Creek Trail is delightful fun. High temperatures at Mud Lake through the days of summer are in the 70's, and the overnight is a bit colder of course, frequently in the 30's. During the wintertime highs are       regularly in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the North Crandall Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. Alp Rock is something you shouldn't miss while you're here at Mud Lake; do take a hike on the Republic Trail. Mud Lake gets a common amount of yearly precipitation; the wettest month of the year is typically June, that's the one that                  rains the most; the driest month of the year is October.
