Mud Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. On a good day at Mud Lake you can take a hike along the Cow Creek Trail. Mud Lake is a location that is relatively dry mostly; June is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February. This is a pleasant area for folks who like lakes. Ziegler Reservoir is a lake in the vicinity; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Whitehall is a fine place to spend a night or two. High temperatures at Mud Lake throughout the warm days of summer are in the 80's,
and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mud Lake. You're most likely hooked on lakes, Crystal Lake is one of those nearby, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Lost Cabin Lake Recreation Trail.
