Going for a hike on the Cow Creek Trail is always a good adventure, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express BUTTE (PARKSIDE). Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Mud Lake, and the nighttime is rather chillier of course, mostly in the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mud       Lake. Mud Lake is a location that is relatively dry usually; through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. Yeah, come here to Mud Lake for a pleasant time. You get a splendid vista of A P A Mountain from Mud Lake, and if you've had enough of Mud Lake, Crystal Lake is nearby. Super 8 Whitehall is a perfect place to get some rest; most likely you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Ziegler                  Reservoir is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail right next door to Mud Lake called the Lost Cabin Lake Recreation Trail, and Big Bear Gulch is another good place to check out close by.
