The warmest time of the year at Mud Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Mud Lake temperatures drop to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Hogback Ridge Trail; a pleasant site to stop at nearby is Skalkaho       Pass. Mud Lake gets very little rain; June is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is October. After a long day outdoors Best Western Hamilton Inn is a great place to spend a night or two. Lakes? Sure, Fuse Lake is in the vicinity. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Mud Lake. Crystal Creek Campground is a good local campground, and great hiking is available along the Quigg Peak Trail. Not far from                  Mud Lake, you'll locate Stony Lake which is a beautiful lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Mud Lake Campground is a brilliant spot to camp. Crystal Creek is a delightful place to pop by, and on a gorgeous day you get a magnificent sight of Sapphire Mountains from Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get dripping wet paddling on Rock Creek.
