Mud Lake is a good location of normal precipitation; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain; July is when it's the driest. Throughout the warm months at Mud Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's while Mud Lake night low temperatures during       the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Mud Lake is right by the Wolf Creek Trail, and why not camp at Outback Montana RV/Tent Campground since you're here at Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Alpine Trail, and there are other sites here than Mud Lake, for example Abbot Lake. Woods Bay Marina and RV Park is a great local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Bridge Street Cottages. After                  a long day outdoors Glacier Mountain Lodge is a glorious location to spend a night or two, and Mud Lake is not far at all from Kalispell. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Flathead River - Middle Fork is a delightful whitewater spot near Mud Lake, and Long Beach is a lovely beach to visit. If time allows, Glacier National Park is a national park worth checking out.
