The yearly precipitation here at Mud Lake is about average; most of the snow falls during December; the driest month is July. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Lewis Range will keep you coming back many times. Camping is available at Spotted Bear Campground, and there's tremendous hiking along the       Helen Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water close by flows, like Big Salmon Creek; locations like Little Salmon Park are fine to visit. You definitely have to fancy Mud Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Haystack Mountain Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Spring Lake. The warmest time of the year at Mud Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the dark                  hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and night lows at Mud Lake during the winter typically descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Mud Lake Mountain can be spotted from Mud Lake. Lakes are splendid; Big Salmon Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Mud Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Lewis Range. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Lewis Range.
