Mud Lake is a good spot of typical rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly December, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Flathead River - South Fork, and do take a hike on the White River Trail. The Lewis Range scenery is always beautiful. Summertime at Mud Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's.       Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Mud Lake are in the 10's. You just should like the Lewis Range. Some of the water close by flows, like Big Salmon Creek; if you need a location to stay Bridge Street Cottages is a great choice. These mountains rock, just explore all the exciting things to do in the Lewis Range.                  Little Salmon Park is a delightful location; Mud Lake is a fine location to visit for more than one day, Beaver Creek Campground is a fine location to camp nearby. Any time is a great time at Mud Lake if you love the outdoors. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Mud Lake has to offer, you can camp at Spotted Bear Campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Helen Creek Trail.
