Go to Moose Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Whitefish Divide-Smokey Range National Recreation Trail is wonderful fun, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Flathead River - Middle Fork. Moose Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Les Mason Campground is a delightful local campground, and Kandahar Lodge is a nice site to get some rest. | | in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 20's with temperatures at Moose Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
While you're here at Moose Lake you can take a hike along the Micho Trail. There's so much to do here at Moose Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Moose Lake Campground is a great site for that. Yep, outdoors exciting things to do are truly plentiful here | |

at Moose Lake. Really great skiing awaits you at Big Mountain, and if you come at the right time of year, Stillwater River offers some tremendous whitewater. Around Moose Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; June is the wettest month
with most rain while February is typically the driest month.
Have a good hiking adventure along the Danny on Memorial National Recreation Trail, and after a long day outdoors Kristianna Mountain Homes is a delightful spot to spend a night or two. While you're here at Moose Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Kalispell.
