Near Moose Lake you stumble on the Micho Trail which is a splendid hiking trail, and get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Flathead River - Middle Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Big Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Smith Lake. A delightful spot for whitewater paddling near Moose Lake is Stillwater River; not far from Moose Lake you'll find Cyclone

| | Lake which is a lovely lake. A nice nearby hotel is Kristianna Mountain Homes, and Moose Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Les Mason Campground is a glorious local campground. There's so much to do here at Moose Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Moose Lake Campground is a good site for that; there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Danny on Memorial National Recreation Trail. commonly; June is when you get the most rain here while February is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. On a good day at Moose Lake you can take a hike along the Whitefish Divide-Smokey Range National Recreation
Trail. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. There are plenty of folks from Kalispell here at Moose Lake, and if you need a location to stay Kandahar Lodge is a great choice. All through the long summer days
at Moose Lake highs are generally in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Moose Lake are in the 10's.
