Moon Lake is a nice lake to visit. Moon Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Castle Rock Inn is a great place to camp nearby, and Gallatin River is a great whitewater spot nearby. If you need a place to stay Rainbow Ranch Lodge is a delightful choice; on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Wapiti Ridge Trail. Summertime at Moon Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Moon Lake plunge into the 10's. While you're here at Moon Lake you can take a hike along the Eldridge Trail, and what would winter be without some skiing at Moonlight Basin.
