A lake close by is Lone Lake, and if you came to camp Ashley Lake Campground is a great site to do that. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Big Sky is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and there are glorious places to explore along the Reid Divide Trail. For the period of the summer months, highs generally are in the 80's at Lake Monroe. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and overnight

| | lows in the 10's for Lake Monroe. You absolutely must love Lake Monroe. A perfect site for whitewater paddling close to Lake Monroe is Stillwater River, and camping at Rest-A-Day Campground is always a tremendous experience. Not much rain falls here at Lake Monroe; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Mountain, and going for a hike on the Logan Creek Trail is always a great adventure. Go for a hike on the Mountain Meadow Trail; needless to say Hodge Creek flows through this area. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Monroe is not the only place close by, Lake Rogers is a close by lake; dry warm beds await you at Kristianna Mountain Homes.
