Monroe Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Man, is there plenty of exciting stuff to do in the neighborhood of Monroe Reservoir. All through the warm days of summer highs here at Monroe Reservoir reach the 70's, and the overnight is fairly cooler of course, commonly in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Monroe Reservoir. There's whitewater

This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Monroe Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Becks Alpine Motel Campground; of course Wolf Creek flows through this neighborhood. There is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of Monroe Reservoir called the Custer National Forest Trail; the skiing at Red Lodge Mountain
is tremendous. Not much precipitation falls here at Monroe Reservoir; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is February.
